ELHS Student receives EMMY!
East Lake Student receives an Emmy!
Stephen LeFranc, ELHS graduate and former theatre student, receives an Emmy!! Stephen worked on many productions and took drama classes while at East Lake High School and studied with drama teacher Jerry Shaver.
Stephen currently works as an Investigative and Special Projects Producer/Videographer/Editor for a TV station in Fort Myers. He produced, shot, and edited a story about overtime in the school district down there. He entered the story along with another and received two nominations. About a month ago, at an awards ceremony, he found out his team had won!!!!
This Emmy is the same as the Emmys for primetime. There are regions for local tv and news, but it's all through the National Academy for Television Arts and Sciences.
